Dallas-area State Rep. Receives Support for Re-Election from Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick

(Irving, TX)– Rep. Matt Rinaldi (R-Irving) today announced that Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick has endorsed him for re-election.

Dan Patrick was elected Lt. Governor of Texas in 2014, winning the general election by almost 20 points, including historic levels of support from Hispanic voters and women. Lt. Governor Patrick presided over what have been called the most conservative and productive sessions of the State Senate in Texas history.

“I have enjoyed taking on even the most difficult challenges facing our state under the leadership of Lt. Gov Dan Patrick, who understands that meaningful property tax reform and relief for all Texans is at the top of that list,” Rinaldi said. “Having his full support and endorsement is an honor, and I look forward to delivering on the promise of lowering property taxes for each and every Texan next legislative session with him,” he concluded.

Rinaldi was first elected in 2014 with wide support from the grassroots, despite being outspent nearly seven to one in the GOP primary.

In the 85th Legislative Session, his accomplishments include passing a measure signed into law by Gov. Abbott that provides for the removal of local officials adopting sanctuary city policies and a budget amendment prohibiting taxpayer funding of abortion providers.

The general election will be on November 6, 2018.
