Matt Rinaldi Re-Election Endorsed by Greg Abbott

Dallas-area State Rep. Receives Support for Re-Election from Texas Governor Greg Abbott

(Irving, TX)– Rep. Matt Rinaldi (R-Irving) today announced that Texas Governor Greg Abbott has endorsed him for re-election.

“I’m proud to endorse Matt Rinaldi and support his reelection to the Texas House,” said Governor Abbott. “Together, we will work to pass meaningful property tax reform, properly fund public schools, and keep the Texas economy the strongest in the nation.”

Rinaldi was first elected in 2014 with wide support from the grassroots, despite being outspent nearly seven to one in the GOP primary.

In the 85th Legislative Session, his accomplishments include passing a measure signed into law by Gov. Abbott that provides for the removal of local officials adopting sanctuary city policies and a budget amendment prohibiting taxpayer funding of abortion providers.

The general election will be on November 6, 2018.
