Matt Rinaldi Touts Texas House Law Enforcement Endorsements
Dallas-area Rep. Receives Endorsements from Every Law Enforcement Officer to Serve with Him During His Two Sessions in the Texas Legislature

(Irving, TX)– Rep. Matt Rinaldi (HD-115) today announced strong support from all former police officers who served with him in the Texas House. Representatives Phil King (HD-61, Weatherford), Mike Lang (HD-60, Granbury), and Former Representative Allen Fletcher (HD-130, Tomball) are all endorsing Rinaldi’s re-election to the Texas House.

“As a former Fort Worth police officer for 15 years, a police reserve for 20 years, and Chairman of the House committee with oversight over law enforcement matters, I have the highest confidence in Matt Rinaldi’s commitment to law enforcement.” said Rep. King, Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety.

Rep. Mike Lang, added, “As a retired Fort Worth police officer who served with Matt Rinaldi in the legislature, I can attest to his strong support of Texas police officers. I look forward to working with him next session to further protect the interests of law enforcement in the legislature,” concluded Lang, a retired Fort Worth Police Officer.

Rinaldi, currently seeking his third term, was first elected in 2014 with wide support from the grassroots, despite being outspent nearly seven to one in the GOP primary, and was re-elected in 2016. Rinaldi’s accomplishments include passing HB 1278, which doubled the death benefit paid to the families of officers killed in the line of duty and SB 15, a bill to provide property tax relief to surviving spouses of law enforcement and first responders killed in the line of duty. He also co-sponsored a bill, signed by Gov. Abbott, that created a grant program to assist law enforcement agencies in the purchase of bulletproof vests and body armor.

“ I have a record of backing the blue and standing with Law Enforcement in the Texas House. As your State Representative, I will always work to help those that work to enforce the rule of law in our state and keep our families and communities safe.”

The general election will be on November 6, 2018.
